DON'T YOU WISH YOU COULD POKE YOUR HEAD INSIDE THE TV AND TELL THEM ALL TO JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO EACH OTHER - ONE AT A TIME?!
WELL, I DO..
I don't know about you, but I am fed-up, sick-and-tired of listening to these tv conversations where everyone is speaking at once. Can they not hear themselves fighting to be heard over each other - the volume and chatter escalating until you can't stand it for one more second then are forced to turn them off out of frustration? Okay, once in a while you can see it happening, but this seems to be the way tv conversations are going these days. The View is the worst and I stopped watching that 2 seasons ago for this very reason. I do scan to see who the guests are though and once in a while I try one more time, but honestly, between the over-talking and the pitch of those voices - I'm out of there.
I've even noticed it happening with news desk, co-anchors.
ENOUGH!
When did this become the thing? And don't get me started on the other thing that seems to be trending.. the high-pitched voices of women who speak from the backs of their throats. I cannot stand this sound and they all seem to be doing this nowadays. Ladies, you have a diaphragm (not the birth control device) from which you should be speaking, so please use it. It's the major muscle below the lungs, that pulls oxygen into the lungs when it contracts rythmically.
I record just about everything I watch, so I have the option of fast forwarding through the cacophony of noise. But, sometimes I've recorded a show to catch one, particular segment where there's a subject or guest I really want to hear. But, they all chat over each other and you have no idea what's being said. So, the very part you tuned in to see in the first place is buried and then you try to get a clue, by replaying that part over and over, hoping to sort through enough of the %$#@&# noise to figure it out.
